Mission Statement

St. John the Baptist School is a Catholic faith filled community educating each child spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and emotionally in order to develop the students' full potential. Together with families and parish community, we are committed to providing an environment where students learn to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Beliefs

  • We believe all students can learn.
  • We believe each student is a child of God and a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs.
  • We believe a safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.
  • We believe students need not only to demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.
  • We believe students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
  • We believe a student's self esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students and staff.
